How to get admission in a medical college?

Which exam to prepare for admission to a medical college in India?
Among exams like NEET and AIIMS Entrance Exam, AIIMS Entrance Exam promises better opportunities because it provides the opportunity to get admission in any one of the 7 public medical colleges of higher education which are declared as the Institutes of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. AIIMS Entrance Exam is tough as compared to NEET but it is worth the effort. There are other exams like FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) and JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research) Entrance Exam for studying abroad and postgraduation, respectively.
How to prepare for AIIMS Entrance Exam?
A total of 707 seats across 7 AIIMS across the country are made available through the exam. It is a Computer Based Test (CBT) or an online test. The test will be held both morning (9.00 AM to 12.30 PM) and evening (3.00 PM to 6.30 PM) for 2 consecutive days. For both the days each test slot will be of 3 hours and 30 mins. The medium of exam will be both Hindi as well English. There will be a total of 200 MCQ and Reason-Assertion type question. Out of which, there will be 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany + Zoology) and the remaining 20 will be from General Knowledge. Total marks will be 200 with 1 mark for each correct answer and 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Syllabus for the exam will be as follows –
-Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as per CBSE taught in 10+2.
-Some General Knowledge regarding current affairs, World records, History, General science etc.
Latest updates regarding AIIMS Entrance Exam (2018) and onwards –
-AIIMS MBBS were provided with only 707 seats in 7 AIIMS across the country till 2017. But now in 2018 admissions in AIIMS Nagpur and AIIMS Guntur with 50 seats each are also available making a total of 807 seats.
-For the first time, the exam will be held on 2 consecutive dates. The dates will be, May 26, 2018 (Saturday) and May 27, 2018 (Sunday).
–ULCCS conduct model entrance exams on 30th and 31st March 2018 for medical/engineering courses.
