MBBS Seats in UP 2018: DMET (Directorate of Medical Education and Training), Lucknow is carrying on UP MBBS 2018 admission. On June 25, 2018, DMET has also passed the merit list of UP NEET 2018. The document verification process which is equally important for students whose names have been listed in the merit list will take place on the same day too. Moreover, all the notifications for NEET 2018 are now available online at the official website also.

Furthermore, with the issuance of the application form, Uttar Pradesh UG Medical Admission process commenced on 20th June 2018. However, the information brochure has been passed by the conducting body, for admission to MBBS/BDS courses earlier this time. Students applied for the application for UP MBBS 2018 as the mode was online after all. Given that, the registration window for admission to UP MBBS 2018 was shut down on June 24th, 2018, midnight, these students will be assigned a state merit rank & will be entered in the merit list too.

What is the Seat Allotment?

Once you’re done with the 1st round of Counselling, the first thing to remember is that the status of seat allotment is now available online too. Next: check out the official website of Uttar Pradesh NEET 2018 Counselling or Choice Filling before anything and check the status.

  1. First, using Registration Number and Transaction Number, login to the official website of UP NEET 2018 – Counselling section.
  2. Second, now that you’re logged in, eventually your seat allotment status will appear on the screen.
  3. Third, are you ready to accept the Allotment?I f yes, then you’re supposed to pay the refundable security fee of Rs. 20,000 (Twenty Thousand Rupees) for Govt. college/institutes/universities, without delay. Furthermore, for Private colleges, you’re supposed to pay a refundable security of Rs 2,00,000 (Two Lakhs Rupees).
  4. Lastly, now that you’ve made the online payment, you are allowed to download the allotment later too.
  5. But if you are not satisfied with the allotted seat, you can sit for the next round of counseling also.

What is the UP MBBS/BDS Eligibility Criteria for 2018?

Students must have a check on the eligibility criteria for admissions in UP MBBS 2018, in general. The necessary criteria are also mentioned below to clarify your doubts:

  • Those students who have appeared as well as qualified NEET 2018 exams are entitled to sit for UP MBBS admission in 2018, as a result.
  • By all means, the students are supposed to register for UP MBBS exams by filling the UP MBBS application form.
  • Now, to be eligible for the exam, the students must be domicile of UP state too. For that, they need to fulfill any one of the norms mentioned below:
The norms are as follows:
  1. An Indian citizen whose father’s origin place is in Uttar Pradesh. The student himself/herself must be a resident of the state.
  2. An Indian citizen or his/her parents must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh for no less than 3 years.
  3. Indian citizen whose any of the parents is an Indian Government employee.
  4. An Indian citizen who resides in a foreign country, however, his/her forefathers must be a resident of the state Uttar Pradesh.
  5. The student must have completed Class X and class XII too, from UP but don’t need to be the resident of the state.
  6. The student who have finished class X or Class XII from the state needs to show that their parent’s permanent resident located in Uttar Pradesh only.
  7. To point out those students who have not completed Class 10 or Class 12 from the state itself must fulfill any of the above-mentioned domicile criteria.
  8. The students are significantly supposed to have passed in English, Physics, Chemistry,  & Biology too in Class12 or any equivalent examination.
  9. Another key point: the students must score a minimum of 50% in Chemistry, Physics & Biology too in aggregate in Class XII or any other equivalent examination (if the student belongs to any unreserved category).
  10. The students need to score at least 50% in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent examination (if the student is belonging to the unreserved category). Students who are belonging to SC/ST/OBC category must score at least 40% which is mandatory whereas PH students belonging to the unreserved category particularly are supposed to score a minimum of 45% markedly.

What are the documents required for admission in UP MBBS 2018?

Another key point is that the students who have applied for the exam must be physically present for the verification of their documents. Besides, they are supposed to carry all of the original documents mentioned below along with the print out copy of the application form as well:

  • First, Domicile Certificate (Class 10 pass certificate/Resident certificate/Class 12 passing certificate) according to the domicile criteria which the student fits in.
  • Second, two photographs (the photographs should be the same as uploaded in the application form)
  • Third, Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • Lastly,  NEET 2018 Admit card & NEET 2018 Rank card
