NEET  is basically national eligibility entrance test country’s sole medical entrance exam. All the medical college’s admissions are based on it only.. There are 2 phases in it. According to the union health ministry students, if you have already taken admissions under present regulations to pursue primary medical courses by taking eligibility certificate from Medical Council of India (MCI) are “exempted” from qualifying NEET.

A student should have a certificate from MCI and should be 12th pass.

And should have physics chemistry and biology as their main subjects. Plus they should get at least 50 percent marks in all the 3 subjects. And together this threshold is lower to 40 percent for the students who belong to reserved category.

A child should be passed in English with more than 50 percent marks. Majorly MCI does not accept students who have done their schooling from the national institute of open schooling.For more details click here.

A  child should complete 17 years of age during the year of admission. This year MCI made mandatory to appear in NEET examination. Plus all students should pass this examination with 50 percentile.To know more click here


 What were the problems of students in 2017?

  1. A day after CBSE board examination, the exam was conducted. So as a result children could not get enough time to revise for their examination.
  2. There were multiple controversies has surfaced including allegations over attempts to leak the question paper of the entrance examination for admission into the MBBS and BDS courses.
  3. In states of Telugu, the native language is Telugu but during the examination of NEET 2017 the paper came in English and Hindi which created difficulty for students in reading questions. More problems faced were .
