YES, NEET 2018 marks are mandatory for the students who wish to continue their higher education in abroad. Before December 2017 NEET mandatory to study abroad wasn’t confirmed. Latest updates from the Union Ministry of health and family welfare answered the question “Is NEET mandatory to study abroad?”. Students aspiring to study MBBS or any any other medical degree have to crack NEET.

How many marks are required to clear NEET?

According to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) 50th percentile and above is required to crack NEET 2018. Since NEET mandatory to study abroad, the student have to crack the entrance exam too to study mbbs in abroad. Furthermore the student can study in abroad only after cracking the NEET 2018, as per the latest guidelines and the rules set by National Medical Commission bill. General Category students have to get 50th percentile to clear the exam. While the ST/SC/OBC have to get 40th percentile. Meanwhile, UR & PH category have to get 45th percentile.

  1. Sir i am mahanthesh and iam studying in Philippines. I got admission for BS psychology in the year 2017-18 .sir and i didn’t attend NEET,so is this rule applicable for us and do we also want to attend NEET.
