National Eligibility cum Entrance Test also known as NEET is a national level entrance examination for admission into MBBS/BDS government and private colleges. Since the application for NEET 2018 was released by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) yesterday there has been a great rush to fill the form in time to prevent from any sort of hassle with payment or applicant credentials. As per to recent regulations with higher educations laws, if one wants to pursue MBBS in India or abroad, they would have to clear NEET exam and have to go through the process of NEET application 2018.
How is the NEET question paper designed?
The question paper design for NEET exam is generally called to be very diverse with the unpredictability of the topics chosen for each question. The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions where there is a single correct answer for four distinct options to choose from. The Question Paper for the exam is based on a common syllabus being set by the Medical Council of India since 2013. The duration of exam is three hours.
How many attempts are allowed?
The NEET exam conducted by CBSE can be attempted at most nine times by an unreserved category candidate and 14 times for a reserved category candidate. Initially, the exam was conducted in only English and Hindi languages, which led to widespread protests from several other languages speaking Indian states. Later it was announced that from last year, there would be a provision to include more regional languages for the candidate to take the exam in.
Being a pen-paper based entrance examination for students who want to study any undergraduate or postgraduate course in government or private medical colleges across India, the NEET-UG 2018 exam would be conducted by CBSE nation-wide this year on 6th May.
